It’s not fancy…there is no view….but there IS the BEST fried chicken on the island of St Thomas. I am talking about Lake’s Chicken Fry, a 43 year landmark in the Smith Bay community. Owner Monique Lake is proud to carry on the legacy and passion of her parents George Lake and Annabel DuBlin as the owner/manager of Lake’s. Located at 6632 Smith Bay, Lake’s is open 7 days a week from 7 a.m. to 12 midnight. Lake’s is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and serves unique chicken and other local Caribbean favorites, but it is most know for….the fried chicken! Locals have frequented the same location for over 4 decades, but the tourists have found them as well. When asked what makes your restaurant special, Monique beams as she states “there is no batter on our chicken. This allows for a full flavor experience of chicken and seasonings with every bite!”
