Our August Customer of the Month is Picante, a casual upscale Mexican restaurant with a Caribbean flare on the beautiful island of Anguilla.   Owners Theron & Chloe Loizos opened the business 13 years ago relocating from California after a visit to Anguilla.  “We thought this would be a great story to tell our kids one day.  We wanted to bring the realization of casual dining in an upscale environment.”

A popular destination for locals, visitors, and celebrities to the island, guests feast on traditional favorites infused with a Caribbean flare. Start with one of the many delicious apps such as the Grilled Chili Queso Corn on the Cob, Chipotle Riblettes & Chicken Wings, Chorizo con Queso and Spicy Fried Calamari.   Then feast on the house favorite….Seafood Enchiladas with crab, prawn, and lobster in a seafood bisque sauce served with rice and beans.  Or the house specialty Picante Tacos…hard shell inside, soft shell outside, with guacamole, sour cream and refried beans layered in between. Or step outside the box with the Grilled Chipotle Prawn Tostada Salad.  Don’t forget postres! Bananas Foster Chimichanga, Flan or Mexican Chocolate Pudding to name a few.  And finally, a  trip to this restaurant would not be complete without sipping on one of five top shelf specialty tequilas.
